During my stint at a fancy US investment firm, with a CEO merry-go-round that spun faster than my coffee went cold, I observed quite a bit. Some are from their shining moments, and some are from, …, let’s just call them the CEOs’ “learning opportunities.”
But let’s take a look through the lens of a wealth management Relationship Manager—someone who, over the years, has discerned the gap between brilliant ideas and the “Let’s never do that again” moments. It’s amusing how some theories sound from managers who seemingly have never been in a client acquisition chat.
Then, there is that moment when the Senior Relationship Manager thinks, “I could do this better. Maybe even with fewer daily coffees.”
So, the question is: Should I handle all that paperwork alone, or should I join an established wealth manager who truly knows the ropes?
One thing’s for sure: If you feel the itch to end your working chapter with an entrepreneurial vibrancy, it might just be time for a decipher successful strategy move. And between you and me, It’s never too late for a new adventure. Or, at the very least, a better coffee than the one from the vending machine down the hallway. 😉
