Itβs been almost six months since I visited the second-largest city in Switzerland the last time. Geneva is a vibrant lakeside city recognised for its beauty and charm. It is one of the most important centres for international organizations and political decision-making.
The prosperous city is also the home to renowned 200-year-old Swiss private banks, Lombard Odier & Co, Pictet & Cie and Mirabaud & Cie, making it a popular place for independent wealth managers. However, the key reason for the business trip comes with a small honour for me β being part of the wealth management industry.
Over the past few months, I have examined numerous applications for an award programme dedicated to the financial industry and cast my vote alongside other selected judges. Some award categories are also firmly anchored in the routine business of an independent wealth manager, and still choosing my favourite based on received well-structured submissions took work.
I hope I still fit into the black-tie suit and look forward to the ceremony venue, traditionally filled with excitement and anticipation. I will feel humbled to be in the presence of such esteemed banking professionals and will eagerly await the distinguished winners.
Not only that, but I am grateful for the opportunity to participate as a judge and proud to be part of a worldwide known best-in-class industry delivering the best possible service to its local and international clients.
