We don’t know how many times you got angry about the headphones with a cable. Sometimes the cord was too short, and sometimes you almost strangled yourself with it.
With the Apple AirPods, a new era has begun. The simple usage and great design makes you immediately to fall in love and get used to the fact that you no longer need a cable connection. In the beginning, you don’t trust the thing, and you’re always afraid that the Bluetooth connection does not work, and people could listen in, but a little look at the iPhone confirms – you’re safe.
The possibility to charge the AirPods quickly via the box is merely ingenious. Sometimes we only hear with one AirPod so that the second one can recharge. After just one minute, the headphones are ready for use again. A fully charged box is enough for at least half the week, and we often watch Netflix on the train.
We can’t confirm the often mentioned weak bass performance. There are numerous possibilities to adjust this (e.g. within the Spotify application).
Unfortunately, you often can’t find the AirPods Box, but there is also a simple solution via “Find my iPhone” since iOS 10.3. However, the application only shows the last location where the AirPods connected to the iPhone. The EarPods themselves have no GPS signal. Nevertheless, this feature is ingenious.
You can set up the settings yourself and adjust for instance the volume via voice commands. The problem is that you won’t be doing this on the train, but you will have to take your iPhone out of your pocket and adjust it the old way.
AirPods represent true Apple quality. However, what strucks was that suddenly “remote” AirPods appear under the integrated Bluetooth devices — for example, our daughter’s schoolmates.
Last but not least, you can use AirPods with most of the airlines!
Pros: light, stylish, quickly charged, good sound, voice commands, allowed to use on aeroplanes
Cons: one size fits all, expensive
