In our spare time, we love to set up websites. While on one side you will find for every challenge a plugin solution, on the other hand, your site becomes slower with every plugin and the risk of malware increases. Consequently, we are looking for plugins covering a more significant challenge, plugins frequently updated and plugins easy to use.

Hence, we are happy to share the “must haves” and “essential” top five plugins for your website:

  1. Elementor: Elementor is a drag-and-drop page builder. Meaning it lets you design pages without needing to know a single line of code. So make sure that when you purchase a theme and don’t want to start from the scratch that it includes Elementor. You will be more than happy to choose this plugin over similar plugins available.
  2. UpdraftPlus: A must have back-up plugin. Each addition of a plugin or a theme upgrade will put your website at risk. So you are happy to have a full back-up available. Their Pro version allows you to schedule back-ups, which is very convenient. You can store your back-up on Dropbox, which is a great plus.
  3. Autoptimize: That plugin helps you to speed up your WordPress website by optimising your site’s CSS, HTML and JavaScript. However, be careful when activating and don’t enable all the options in one go. You need to check your website after each selected option because your theme might not be compatible with all the possibilities. So far we only had one single website theme allowing the activation of all optimising items. Nevertheless, their tool to optimise images is fantastic.
  4. Blog Designer Pro: It is the perfect WordPress Blog Layout Plugin fitting into your overall WordPress theme. Hence, it is efficient and user-friendly. It will result in beautiful blog pages and makes your blog more intuitive without coding knowledge. As a result, it is straightforward to manage for beginners to even website developers.
  5. Yoast SEO: Search Engines a the primary source for traffic on your website. The optimisation takes a lot of your time, and while fiverr.com is an excellent resource, you should go for long term fixes. It rates each of your pages concerning technical SEO but also checks the usefulness of your site. You might be happy with their free version, but for important website opt for the pro version.
